Explore Pearl Beach
Pearl Beach accommodation delivers a hidden gem, a picturesque coastal village on the Central Coast, NSW. Almost entirely surrounded by tranquil bushland, with compliments of Brisbane Water National Park, Pearl Beach offers pristine waters and a small community where everyone knows their neighbours. With one road in and out, Pearl Beach is a quiet village that continues to maintain its original charm.
Located south of Umina Beach, Pearl Beach and Broken Bay, Pearl Beach was discovered in 1770 by Captain James Cook who described the land as a ‘broken land’. Once a thriving fishing and boat building community with a hint of modern arts and crafts, Pearl Beach won the Central Coast’s regional award for Keep Australia Beautiful Clean Beach NSW in 2009 and was nominated for the award in 2010 and 2011. Its gorgeous beach has its own 25 metre rock pool which is ideal for swimming and splashing around.
Pearl Beach features an Arboretum, a place where 4.5 hectares of natural bushland is grown and studied. Every March leading Australian opera entertainers perform at the Crommelin Native Arboretum and all proceeds are given to charities and rotary clubs.
It also holds a cafe, restaurant and general corner store, tennis courts and bushland walking tracks whilst being close to Umina Beach, Ettalong Beach and Woy Woy and other tourist towns. Just 90 minutes drive from Sydney and around 60 minutes drive from Newcastle.
