  • Cabin by the Bays is an absolute - waterfront, three bedroom, holiday house. Perfect for a family escape comfortably sleeping 6-8 people. An ode to pared back, bare foot, holiday vibes, with a nostalgic nod to the Australian coastal holidays of the 1960's & 70's. The design ethos hopes to step carefully, with natural materials and colour palette creating a rustic-luxe backdrop for your escape.

    Featuring a sustainable approach to decorating, with restored and up-cycled furnishing and handmade ceramics, sitting alongside travel artefacts and art. We invite guests to slow down, immerse in nature and adventure and ultimately… restore.

    Horsfield Bay is an idyllic Central Coast location just over an hour from Sydney & Newcastle. Part of a series of tranquil tidal bays on Brisbane Water, it is nestled in amongst the bush, with sweeping views across the bay. A natural wonderland, bird life abounds, and the waterways are renowned for fishing and adventuring alike. The calm waters are perfect for kayaking or simply relaxing on the deck and observing the peaceful beauty of it all.

    Our holiday house is a sanctuary of peace and calm, where the bush and rolling hills meet the water's edge. Yet also just a stone's throw from cafes, restaurants and the white sandy, surf beaches of the peninsula from Killcare to Patonga. A paradise for kids, the area is full of wonderful things to do rain, hail, or shine.

    THE SPACE

    'Cabin by the Bays' was one of the first houses in the area and has been lovingly restored with a keen aesthetic eye and focus on a sustainable approach, with tactile, luxurious touches to ensure maximum comfort for your stay.

    TOP FLOOR:
    - Master Bedroom: Queen size bed with hotel quality mattress, crisp white linens, double doors open out onto the main balcony, featuring panoramic views.
    - Bedroom 2: Featuring super comfortable King Single bunk beds.
    - Large living area and lounge room opening onto the entertainers wrap-around balcony, combustion fireplace, kitchen, bathroom.
    - Separate library and writing desk. Well stocked with a great array or board and card games.

    BOTTOM FLOOR:
    - Bedroom 3: Queen size bed with hotel quality mattress, crisp white linens, stunning views across the bay.
    - Fold out Double Sofa bed in lounge room.
    - Large living area/rumpus room, with tactile sea grass flooring and large screen 65” TV.
    - Second bathroom plus magnificent hot water, outdoor shower, accessible from the lower deck.
    - Wet area + full laundry, life jacket storage area.
    - Large lower deck accessed from the lounge room.

    WATERFRONT:
    - The property is landscaped down to the waterfront, it is a gentle slope with steps to the bay.
    - We have two kayaks for your use stored at the water's edge.
    - We also have access to a shared Jetty for fishing, boating, or jumping off. Pls get in touch if you need boat access.

    GENERAL:
    - All linen, bath towels and bed making included for all guests.
    - Cosy living areas with fireplace, high-speed NBN wi-fi, Samsung Smart TV, ceiling, floor or wall fans, heaters
    - Kitchen has a full supply of quality appliances, including a refrigerator, oven, stovetop, microwave, dishwasher plus general cooking supplies.
    - Main bathroom with shower over bath, 2 separate toilets and an outdoor hot water shower
    - Large deck with a 4-Burner Barbecue by Heston Blumenthal gas BBQ, ample outdoor seating
    - Pet friendly, small dogs only, yard not fenced
    - Ceiling, floor or wall fans, heaters, ample onsite parking
    - Two adult kayaks with life jackets
    - Full laundry with washer & dryer

    THE PANRTY
    Cabin by the Bays offers a variety of teas and coffee can be enjoyed by French press or stove top espresso. Extra Virgin Olive Oil, White and Balsamic vinegar, and specialty salt and pepper are part of our pantry.
